Department of Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)
1. The three year professional undergraduate course in Business Administration is open to students from all the three streams: Commerce, Science,and Arts.
2. The BBA course offers knowledge and training in management and leadership skills to prepare them for managerial roles and entrepreneurship. A blended approach of theory and practical expertise by domain expert faculty.
3. BBA is aimed at preparing future professionals.
4. Post BBA, students have an option of joining as Management Trainees / Executive Trainees in any of the following sectors after their BBA:
1. Banking and Insurance
2. Market Research
3. Financial Analyst
3. Human Resource Management
4. BPO’s and KPO’s
Goals
The major aim of BBA is to make business professionals who are aware of the business world, good at solving business problems and who can manage work by giving them best knowledge and skills.
Students will exhibit understanding of broad business concepts and principles.
Students will exhibit critical thinking skills to address diverse business challenges and opportunities.
Model business professionalism and demonstrate effective written and oral communication skills.
Students will be able to effectively communicate management concepts, plans and decisions.
Students will demonstrate professional conduct within any team.
Objectives
The overall objective of the BBA program is to educate and prepare students with the needed knowledge and skills, analytical ability as well as managerial perspective that is needed in the highly competitive business environment.
To develop the students’ intellectual capacity, executive personality, and managerial skills in a way that enables them assume entry-level managerial positions in business and industry, public sector organizations, consultancy companies and other organizations.
Apply appropriate quantitative and qualitative techniques in solving business problems.
Effectively address important international and multicultural issues that impact business.
Demonstrate competency in the underlying concepts, theory and tools taught in the core curriculum.
