Department of Computer Science
About Department
The Department of Computer Science was established in our College in the year 2009-10 with a modest strength of 10 students. The department has two classrooms, computer laboratories consisting of 45 latest computers with a three well experienced staff. Since its inception, the Department of Computers Science, SNBP College has made admirable progress and has acquired an enviable reputation as a leading educational institution in Pune. There are also printers, scanners, UPS, LCD Projectors and other facilities such as the Internet, in the department. It has a total strength of above 150 students. It has highly qualified and competent staff and has been consistently excellensst results so far.
Goals
• To teach students how to apply the principles of Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics and Electronics to solve real-world scientific problems appropriate to the discipline.
• To teach students learning skills, this will allow them to adapt to new evolving technologies successfully in their career. We are committed to the free software and open source software.
• To prepare students for employment and advanced studies and provide them skill for software development for real-world problems.
• To teach students to work in a team efficiently and effectively in their professional careers.
• To prepare students to be conscious ethically, socially, legally and professional related issues to computing.
Objectives
• To provide students with latest skills in the field of computer science and technology and to realize the importance of life-long learning.
• To provide the ability among the students to take part in Cocurricular and extracurricular activities.
• Motivating the students to involve in research and development projects.
• We are working with the constituents from the industry and alumni to build relationships that will help placement of our students and alumni share their industry experiences and provide training to our students in the latest technologies.
• To provide research environment for students and faculty members to generate knowledge and develop technologies in the thrust areas of computer science.
